I work on the AUV's platform by filing the sharp edges and making it nice and smooth (round). It toke about three days, had help from Carlos and other members from the team. I also help martin on the mill making brackets that well sustain the main hull. Next week we will get out of school and get ready for FIRST Kickoff.

The regional was very busy it was a great experience helping students that were intrested in lego. this week we had the science fair which i help set up for it which was this wednesday at are school. I have been helping martin with the AUV robot by making the right size for the L's that well help the robot stnad up still.

Fiber Glass came in this tuesday i help bring it and cut it into 10 in. pieces so it would fit in the play room. It was some what difficult since their were long pieces of fiber glass and it was hard to maneuver into the building and come up the stairs. We were able to bring it in. After that was done I help Joach with FLL finish build the legos for FLL which this friday i well stay and help set up for the competiotion that will take place this at our school saturday.

Last week I had the opportunity on helping martin with the t-shirt launching. This week the resume for AUVSI requirements list was due. Bianca explain us why are resumes made for and she told us that they are use to apply for jobs, internship, scholarships, college admissions, or letters of recommendation. This Friday i have the interview I'm little nervous but i think everything well just go alright. this is basically what I have done this week and last week.

This week in mentoring we are making a simulation of a mission so that the kids get familiar a put in practice there skills for the competition. So far they have been doing a good job. As far for work shops we had networking. Maria demonstrated a web page called Chief Delphi. This web page was created by team 47 to help and communicate with other teams. In this page you can ask for help when you don't know something or stuck with something. It is a great resource.

This week I started to mentor it wasn't has difficult as I thought, but I do need some improvement since this is my first year I am kind of lost. This weeks workshop was google sketchup which I wasn't familiar with but it isn't hard to use it. This program consist of designing things such as buildings, furniture etc. it's very sophisticated but there are better programs were you can design this things. This is basically what i did/learn this week. 

Retreat

In the retreat that I got to go with the team was great. I had a good time and got to know people more. I learn that to be in the falcon robotics team 842 you only need to do is to be a roll model for others and to not ruin the reputation that the team has build over the years. There was a new record for chubby bunnies which is now 26. We had many activities were we were really active such as capture the flag,hiking and etc. Had a go time cant wait for the next retreat.

This week we were able to actually work with tools. Before we were able to use tools we took a test which was consisted of knowing safety procedures, the tools name, and where were they located. This week work shop was the building workshop were I got to use tools that i had never use before. We were able to apply what had we learn by unbuilding a robot. Unbuilding the robot is easy but to be able to build one gets complicated since there is a order to follow.

This week went fast I had the opportunity to know many tools that I didn't know before that are really common to use in robotics. I didn't only got to know tools but I also got to know what were the safety procedures to be able to use the tools. I also had time to help fix the filter of the fish tank with carlos.
